CHANGES TO APPLICATION PROCESS FOR ASSET MANAGEMENT GRANTS FOR MUNICIPALITIES

Hello,

I am writing to give you an update on FCM’s Municipal Asset Management Program (MAMP)’s funding. On May 15, 2020, MAMP launched its call for applications for its grants for municipalities. In less than three months, the MAMP team has received an exceptional number of applications, a clear indication that Canadian municipalities, particularly smaller municipalities, are eager to improve their asset management practices with the support of MAMP funding and resources.

To ensure that we continue to assess applications and provide funding quickly and efficiently, we are adjusting our application process. These changes do not impact applications already submitted or projects already approved for funding.

As a first step, we will continue to accept applications until midnight EST, September 22, 2020. We encourage any municipalities currently developing applications to submit by the deadline. All applications received before the deadline will be processed in the order of receipt.  A second call for applications will begin on January 19, 2021.

We thank all current and future applicants for their interest and for the overwhelming response to this current call for applications.

FCM’s Municipal Asset Management Program continues to offer expert asset management resources and training through our partners. Learn about FCM’s Municipal Asset Management Program’s partner organizations and the types of training they are offering across the country.

We look forward to working with you further to ensure the success of this important program and will continue to provide you with updates that may be of interest to you.

Sincerely,

Bogdan
